Kanineeka Foundation was established in 1997 by Parul Zaveri and Nimish Patel to promote and increase awareness in holistic way of life, education, alternative methods of education and healing and to set up models of sustainable practices/communities. 

The Foundation want to be part of the positive emergence of community-based initiatives aiming to restore degraded ecosystem, repairing the fabric of communities, and also develop and revive traditional sustainable satisfying ways of life.

Objectives 

  1. To promote holistic living processes
  2. To promote holistic and environmental education processes
  3. To promote integrated sustainable rural and urban development

Philosophy: To promote alternative methods of healing Philosophy: To help communities, individuals and groups of people believe in themselves and their potentials.

Foundation’s Approach to work:

1.Direct Interventions – through community development programs which are designed to organise and strengthen capacities of communities, groups and individuals to plan, implement and monitor programs, thus enabling them to mobilise existing available resources to better ends.

2.Technical Assistance and Training – to communities, groups and individuals to enhance their potential for designing, implementing, monitoring and evaluating sustainable developmental programs.

3.Advocacy – the focus will be on sensitizing, creating awareness, and mobilising communities, children, schools, educational institutes groups and individuals for developmental concerns.

4.Research and Documentation – of traditional, innovative approaches and models of learning/sharing for future initiatives.
